Differential relationship between pressure transmitter and sensor?Xi'an Huaheng Instrument Manufacturing Co.,Ltd.Introduction:Sensors are devices or devices that can be measured and converted into usable output signals according to certain rules.They are usually composed of sensitive elements and conversion elements,such as thermocouples.
When the output of the sensor is a specified standard signal,it is called a transmitter.The concept of transmitter is an instrument that converts non-standard electrical signals into standard electrical signals.Sensors are devices that convert physical signals into electrical signals.In the past,physical signals were often talked about,but now other signals are available.
The primary instrument refers to the field measurement instrument or the base control table,while the secondary instrument refers to the instrument that uses the primary meter signal to complete other functions,such as control,display and other functions.
Sensors and transmitters are concepts of thermal instrumentation.Sensors convert non-electrical physical quantities such as temperature,pressure,liquid level,material and gas characteristics into electrical signals or send physical quantities such as pressure and liquid level directly to transmitters.The transmitter amplifies the weak electric signal collected by the sensor to transmit or start the control element.
Or the non-electric input of the sensor can be converted into an electrical signal and amplified simultaneously for remote measurement and control.Analog data can also be converted to digital data as needed.Sensors and transmitters together constitute a monitoring signal source for automatic control.Different physical quantities require different sensors and corresponding transmitters.
There is also a transmitter which does not convert physical quantities into electrical signals,such as a"differential pressure transmitter"of the boiler water level gauge.It is a remote instrument that transmits the condensate water of the lower part of the liquid level sensor and the upper part of the steam to the bellows of the transmitter through the instrumentation tube,and uses the differential pressure on both sides of the bellows to drive the mechanical amplifier device to indicate the water level with a pointer.
Of course,it can also be called a transmitter to convert electrical analog into digital.These are just conceptual differences between sensors and transmitters.
